About Charles

Charles Elmore is an award winning filmmaker from Tulsa, OK. Based out of Oklahoma, Charles has been working in the film and video industry since 2000. He has worked in documentaries, television, and feature films including Minari (A24), Fancy Dance, and Out Of Exile (Saban Films), and the FX/HULU series Reservation Dogs.

In addition to his work as a Director of Photography, he has received multiple Heartland Chapter Emmy awards for his work as an editor and producer for the news magazine program Osiyo: Voices of the Cherokee People.

He is a passionate advocate for growing the film-making community within Oklahoma and collaborating with other local artists as well as providing support for outside productions seeking top notch experience.

Always looking for ways to challenge himself as an artist, Charles enjoys exploring new ways of telling unique stories through the visual medium with a fondness for stories within the communities of his home state, Oklahoma.

In addition to working in the Oklahoma film industry, Charles has written film reviews and criticism for The Tulsa Voice and is an active member of the Oklahoma Film Critics Circle.

When he's not behind a camera he sometimes tries to run marathons, mostly succeeding.
